Have a ‘go to’ order at your local cafe? Does it take a long time to set up? Soy milk? Decaf? Extra shot? Extra hot? Using Hey You, your most frequent orders will appear on your favourites tab. You can reorder your favourites to save time on orders and be in and out in a flash. Go to the ‘Order’ tab under ‘Favourites’ and simply click the ‘Reorder’ button to reorder the product again. It’s that easy!
You can even make slight changes to your order too. Not vibing an extra shot today? You can edit the item with one click. Feeling a bit peckish? You can add a cheeky snack to your meal too.
You can also favourite venues! When opening a venue, click the heart icon in the top right corner to favourite it. Now whenever you want to order something from this venue all you have to do is click the ‘Places’ tab under ‘Favourites’ and it will appear. You don’t have to worry about spending time scrolling through venue upon venue (even though there are so many great options to choose from), you’ll have all your favourites in just one place.
Keep Cup’s are all the rage and we knew we couldn’t leave Keep Cup lovers out on Hey You. You can select the Keep Cup option as a modifier to your order. When you arrive, all you’ll have to do is hand your Keep Cup to the barista. You’ll save time by skipping the queue and help save the environment at the same time. It’s a win-win!
We also cater for Huskee Swap users. Huskee are on a mission to create a global community of cafes and coffee drinkers who swap and exchange a single reusable takeaway coffee cup. A program they’ve coined the Huskee Swap. By creating an easy way to swap’n’go, Huskee aims to help significantly reduce the estimated 1 billion disposable coffee cups Australians go through per year. All you have to do is select the Huskee Swap option as a modifier to your order. Your coffee will be made in a Huskee Cup and all you need to do is swap your existing Huskee Cup when you pick up the order.
As a Huskee Swap user you’re doing your part to help the environment, and lots of venues reward the use of a reusable. You can pick up a HuskeeCup online here or you can find a list of Swapsites to purchase from here.
Some of our venues also have loyalty card systems when you order from them on Hey You. When you order an eligible item from venues with loyalty cards, progress on the card will be applied automatically. Progress on each of your loyalty cards until reaching your free loyalty item can be tracked by going to the ‘Loyalty cards’ tab under ‘Menu.’ The free loyalty item will be automatically redeemed on your next applicable order at that venue. Gone are the days of having to hold onto countless loyalty cards from different venues and awkwardly sift through them as the barista stares into your soul. Hey You is a simple paper-free way to have all your cards in one place.
Got a feeling you’ll have a busy day at work but still want to order ahead, you can schedule orders ahead of time. All you need to do is place a normal order and choose the time you want your order to be placed. This is the time the venue will start making your order. For example, if you have a meeting that finishes at 2pm and need an afternoon coffee to get you through the rest of the day, schedule it in the morning to save yourself some time.
Hey You will also send you a notification when your order is almost complete and ready for pick up. So you know exactly when to pop down and grab your order. Making your experience as quick and efficient as possible.

Located in northern New South Wales in the small town of Glen Innes, The Local is a humble café which recently launched in August as the brainchild of a young local couple. With a commitment to sourcing fresh ingredients from local suppliers, it is no surprise that the café has become a favourite in the community. They even have a map showing their different local produce suppliers on one of their walls!
Located in the heart of Double Bay, Kitchen by Culture is a fresh new venue that is all about bring great food and excellent coffee. The café is also only a 5 minute stroll away from Double Bay Beach, making it a great place to go after an early morning walk or swim.

Find food and order faster – Now you can use Google Search, Maps or the Assistant to order your food and drinks. Look out for the “Order Takeaway” button in Google Search and Maps when you search for a restaurant or type of cuisine. All of the Hey You merchant partners are automatically synced with Google and are able to receive orders directly through the Google 'order takeaway' button. Merchant partners receive orders seamlessly as like any other Hey You order placed.

We are facing an unprecedented time in our generation’s history - at this point in time we all need to come together and support our community in whatever way we can. Unfortunately, one of the frontline industries that has been hit drastically by COVID-19 is the hospitality industry with many of our favourite cafes and restaurants struggling to survive through this crisis.
In order to support our merchants, we at Hey You have launched the ability for our customers to gift a virtual coffee or lunch item to their favourite cafe/restaurant. This allows a customer to gift an amount equivalent to a regular coffee or lunch item at their local merchant without expecting to receive any item in return. The idea is to help out the hospitality industry with cashflow in these tough times.
Also given the struggling cashflow of our merchants, we have also decided to forego all of our commissions for the next 4 weeks for any new business generated by our merchant partners.

We are also very delighted on how some of our merchants have created innovative ways of providing additional services to customers at no extra cost - many merchants are now offering Kerbside delivery through the Hey You app so that customers can have their coffee/food items delivered to their cars without having to find a parking or step outside their cars.
We were also impressed when some of our merchants suggested encouraging shakas to our customer base as an alternative form of handshakes so as not to lose the human connection.
As a proud Australian owned and backed startup, we are lucky to be in a position where we can help these cafes and restaurants with their struggling cashflow and are happy to play a small part in helping the hospitality industry during these tough times.
