Hey You x Deliverect

Hey You is very proud to announce our new partnership with Deliverect,
an Integration leader helping unlock the full potential of cafes and restaurants by consolidating all online orders through one system.

Deliverect provides a solution which allows hospitality businesses to manage
multiple orders through various delivery, take-away and order ahead platforms through a single point of sale system, thereby increasing operational efficiency and streamlining hospitality workflow - an absolute game changer.

For hospo operators and staff this reduces the risks or errors, delays when
managing multiple orders simultaneously and it’s proven to be highly effective.

We’re so thrilled to be partnering with Deliverect, we know for new and existing cafes and restaurants how impactful this will be. Not only does this make it easier to service more online orders and customers in one system, it helps staff so much. We’ve already seen some fantastic progress with some of our top rated Hey You operators adopting Deliverect and we’re keen to see it evolve
— Jennifer Lyne, Head of Partnerships at Hey You.
The integration of Hey You into our system has resulted in a hassle-free experience as it now operates seamlessly in the background without any intervention
— Samuel Graham, Barrel One Director.

“The dockets for Hey You orders are printed automatically, similar to those received through the POS, ensuring a smooth system of fulfillment. During service, our only interaction with the software is to adjust item availability through the 'Snoozing' function. This minimal level of interaction further streamlines our operations and ensures a more efficient service.”

Integration is also really helpful for staff members juggling multiple order platforms, enabling them to focus on one singular system which limits mistakes in a fast paced environment in hospitality.

We have received very positive feedback from our staff since integrating Hey You with Deliverect. The ‘hands-off’ system has been a real blessing for them, as it has significantly reduced their workload associated with managing online orders. Moreover, they find the ‘snoozing’ function to be intuitive and helpful, allowing for streamlined management of item availability during service. Our Hey You orders have been steadily increasing month to month since the integration
— Samuel Graham, Barrel One Director.

Happy International Women’s Day 2023

Happy International Women’s day from all of us at Hey You.
It's a significant day where we can celebrate all the amazing women
in our lives and around the world!

We take this opportunity to recognise their incredible achievements, whether it's in business, politics, sports, or anything else they put their minds to. We also reflect on the progress we've made towards gender equality and consider what more we can do to ensure that all women have equal opportunities and access to education, healthcare, and employment.

As an order ahead app that connects with our hospitality industry, we want to  celebrate the amazing women who are killing it in this industry! from chefs, bartenders to hotel managers and event planners.

But that's not all - many of these women are also business owners for restaurants, cafes, and catering companies. Talk about girl power! Despite the challenges they face, these women are proving that they can not only survive but thrive in the hospitality industry.

It’s a full time juggling act with  the demands of work, family and friends, women still do it with grace and humour. They're the ultimate multi-taskers. It's not always easy, but women make it look effortless. So here's to the women who are crushing it and raising the bar for the next generation - you inspire us all!

International Barista Day!

Last year the winner was Enzo @ Zenius Cafe in Chippendale who got the most votes and comments for his beautiful latte art.

For this year, not only do we want to showcase the latte art but also do things with an environmental twist by crowning our 2023 International Barista winners by the percentage of ‘lid-less’ orders customers order at your venue through the Hey You app.

This celebrated feature was  added in 2022 and is in line with our mission in wanting to help Aussies reduce plastic waste..

A Community Connected through Split

Located in the picturesque suburb of North Curl Curl is a beautiful minimalist espresso bar called Split. The white walls and light wood tones of the space will melt your worries away once you step in. But while the clean, calm, and cool atmosphere is what greets you, it’s the delicious smell of coffee that embraces you and pulls you in.

Split had its humble beginnings at the Curl Curl dog park, serving up their now-famous espresso out of the back of a 1967 VW Split Window Kombi, from which the name “Split” originated from. Owners James and Izzy (and their charming pooch, Lily) built the espresso bar a year after having the coffee van. “Curl Curl is so community-based. Locals are always happy to connect and chat with us and each other. That gave us the idea to offer coffee, food, and a place for the community to connect within four walls,” Izzy says. James and Izzy have been Hey You partners for almost two years.

It is very convenient for our customers who are busy and helps to work in with their morning routine. It also allows them to skip the line when ordering.
— James and Izzy

Offering more than just coffee, Izzy is very proud of the latest version of their menu. “Our new food menu incorporates classic, everyday items with a twist and we have something for everyone.”

If you’re dropping by for the first time, she recommends The Brekky Burger, Split’s take on the classic B&E Roll. It has eggs, bacon, hashbrown, cheese, avocado, aioli, and roquette on a brioche bun.

She also recommends the plant-based option called The Med Toast, a delicious combination of balsamic cherry tomatoes, hummus, and zesty dukkah.

Don’t forget to try their coffee! The venue offers up classic concoctions that are made with their house blend and single origin beans. You can take home a bag of your choice of beans, too!

Even though the business has grown, the couple still looks back on where it all started. The coffee van still operates at the dog park, but is now upgraded to a brand new VW Transporter. Both venues are well-loved by the Curl Curl community. “Our team—who are led by our charismatic Operations Manager, Darren—create connections and friendly relationships with our customers which help to make them feel welcomed and happy each time they visit,” Izzy shares.

Split are open daily from 7:0am to 1:00pm. Find them at Shop 8/70-72 Pitt Rd, North Curl Curl. Order ahead using the Hey You app and jump queues!

Must-try on Hey You: Favela

At High Street in Penrith, you’ll find Favela, a hole-in-a-wall venue serving up delightful breakfast and brunch treats. If you happen to find yourself there, they are pretty easy to spot. The bold brick red letters of their sign are hard to miss, but it’s the vibrant yellow paint of their window—like a ray of sunshine constantly focused on their little part of Penrith—that will reel you in.

Favela is Penrith’s first dedicated bagel shop. When you arrive at their window, Jack & Charli will be there to greet you with dashing smiles. Pat, Favela’s Brand & Marketing Manager, recommends that first-time visitors try a classic combo: a bagel and coffee. “The Goldie Lox and Breaky Bae are the faves at the moment, but you really can’t go wrong with our other bagel items,” he says.

They also offer the Avo’ Avo’, a bagel smothered in smashed avocado and drizzled with flavour from lime and chilli flakes. The El Clasico is prepared with cream cheese and chives, and their On Its Own is your chance to choose your own bagel + spread combo.

For their coffee, Favela makes use of beans from Reuben Hills, so you know that ordering a coffee from them is a good idea. They also offer cold-pressed juice from Allie’s for the health-conscious.

The venue has been using Hey You since they opened. “From the moment we had all our payment gateways set up for trade, it has been seamless with Hey You,” Pat says. “The support has been fantastic for any updates we need to do. Plus our customers that have the app love it! Penrith is new to the order ahead mentality, but we are slowly changing the mindset.”

Favela is the second venue of the Cinco Hombres Hospitality Group. With a goal to create memorable and meaningful venues, the group made it their mission to always greet customers with a smile—and to leave with one, too.

Order ahead using Hey You to make sure your coffee and bagel are ready to go when you get there. Favela are open Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm.
