Order Ahead hits Rockhampton!
At Hey You we are committed to bringing money back to local QLD economy.
In an effort to drive customer loyalty to local businesses and answer to the demands of lucrative Queensland consumers, we are delighted to announce that we have expanded our order ahead service to the central Queensland city of Rockhampton.
Since Monday 19 August, Rocky locals and tourists travelling in the area have been able use the Hey You app at a number of cafes and restaurants, such as The Two Professors, Captain Nemo’s, Cranston Pies and the Criterion Hotel.
With larger takeaway giants taking huge commissions from local businesses, we wanted to give power back to business owners by helping them streamline their day-to-day, encourage customer loyalty and better understand their customers’ takeaway demands.
Having an already strong presence in neighbouring city, Yeppoon, and an impressive 650,000 user base nationwide, there were strong indications that there would be an appetite for an order ahead service in central Queensland.
“We’re an Aussie tech company that believes cities outside of capital cities are worth investing in. As a regional hub with great quality food and coffee venues, Rockhampton has the right ingredients to make the platform work for these great local businesses”, says Sam Zammit - General Manager, QLD
Hey You also comes with massive benefits for local business owners. The data and unique insights captured through the app can help improve their services and tailor to their customers’ needs in a more efficient way than ever before. When staff are notified ahead of time, it helps with the preparation of orders dramatically, and in turn drives customer loyalty through the attention to detail.
Although our app is commonly known for getting ahead of the queue for morning coffees, the last six months have seen a significant uptake in the use of the app for food orders, particularly when it comes to breakfast.
At Hey You, we’ve still kept our business vision to enable users to order ahead, but instead of just doing this for their morning coffee after a long commute to work, we’ve been seeing them add on breakfast items too. We’re broadening our sights onto making food more easily and readily available for Aussies who want to save time for what matters, whether that be simply using their lunch breaks to socialise, window shop or meet a work deadline.
We’re approaching 600,000 monthly orders on the app; a number which is growing, and with the shift towards consumers wanting to order ahead we’re continuing to answer to these demands. With our goal to have launched in more capital and regional cities by 2020, we’re already set to reach this by launching in Rockhampton. We’re excited to help central Queenslanders get their food and coffee faster than ever.
